Someday... 1963년 영국 런던에서 태어난 Seal은 건축학을 전공했다. 전기 엔지니어와 가죽의류 디자이너 등을 거치며 여러 일을 했지만 타고난 노래 실력을 주체하지 못하고 Bar 에서 노래를 하게 된다. 얼마 후 Adamski 라는 하우스 뮤직과 테크노 뮤직 프로듀서를 만나 1991년에 발표한 첫 싱글 [Crazy]는 영국 챠트 15위, 미국 빌보드 7위를 차지하며 300만장의 앨범 판매고를 거두는 성공적인 데뷔를 하게 된다. 하지만 그를 전세계 음악 팬들에게 각인된 또 하나의 노래는 'Kiss From The Rose' 란 곡이었다. 이 곡이 영화 "Batman Forever" soundtrack 으로 수록되면서 대히트, American music chart, adult contemporary 부문에서 무려 12주 동안 1위를 지키고, Single Chart 에서도 45주간이나 머무는 기염을 토하게 된다. 특이한 허스키 보이스와 190cm의 육상선수를 방불케 하는 멋진 체격을 가진 그는 2005년 독일 출신의 슈퍼모델 Heidi Klum 과 결혼해서 아들 하나를 두고 있다.
